Cushcraft R6000

Assembled Cushcraft R6K this weekend. It was in my shed for about two years and I could not have time to mount it on the mast.

Getting out of the bed, I went to my shack and turned on my radio, FT1000. There was a very good signal of W7SW, Scotty in a QSO with Shin, JA1NUT. I think it was the 1st time for me to hear USA on 21MHz in such early morning. I called him and Scotty gave me 449. His 559. My new R6K seems to work better than I expected. I’m sure current SSN & FSI will help me out a lot this autumn.

Scotty is a really good CW operator and I have worked him a lot. And of course Shin san. Good luck with the new antenna and see you on the air (if your life is not too hectic!)

      Hi john

Thanks for the comment. It was good to hear a bunch of DX signals on the high bands!
Speaking of hectic, I’m coming to Singapore on 18th. Are you ON LAND on that day?

      • Shin says:

On behalf of John, he has gone on aboard for the hectic saltmine since yesterday. He is supposed to be back home in 6 weeks. Sorry for you for not being able to talk with him over glasses of beer this time.

        Good trip to 9V.

    Dear Shin san

    Thank you for the information.
That’s pity he won’t be there.
But I’m supposed to trip to Singapore more often in the future.
    Next chance!
